Christine Ferreira Director Christine graduated in 2003 from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Psychology. She danced four years with the Quinnipiac Dance Company and became President of the Company in 2002. She is experienced in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip-Hop. She has taken classes in Manhattan at The Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. She has danced at Hammerstein Ballroom and has been in several Off-Broadway Musicals. Christine has been a dancer for the AFL’s New York Dragons at Nassau Coliseum and appeared on NBC. She was invited on ESPN’s “Cold Pizza” as a celebrity guest. She also was a dancer for the USBL’s Westchester Wildfire performing at the Westchester County Center. She danced for the New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena during the 2004-2005 season and performed on “The WB Morning Show.” Christine has performed all over Westchester and has danced for several Entertainment Companies and in a Music Video. She has taken master class and teacher training from Finis Jhung, David Howard, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Sheila Barker and Frank Hatchett. She began choreographing in college for the Quinnipiac Dance Company and discovered she loved teaching as well as performing. She works well with children as well as adults and enjoys helping them toward their individual dance goals. Christine teaches at both locations and directs and choreographs for the Company Dancers.
Jessica Grafer Director Jessica majored in dance at The University of Hartford with “The Hartt School of Dance.” She has studied dance since the age of four and is experienced in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip-Hop. She has taken classes all over Westchester and at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. She performed in an off-Broadway musical and has danced for several Entertainment Companies. In 2004 she danced for the USBL’s Westchester Wildfire. Jessica taught a dance program for young children with Cortlandt Recreation in the fall of 2004. She danced in the 2005 - 2006 Season as a NY Knicks City Dancer. She was recently a featured dancer in Danny Aiello's Music Videos, "Dance With Me" and "City of Lights". Jessica has taken Master class and teacher training from Mia Michaels, Many Moore, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Laurie-Ann Gibson, Dan Karaty, Shane Sparks, Luam and Chio. She has a love for choreographing and teaching dance and would like to pass on her knowledge and passion to young dancers. She loves sharing her passion for dance teaching at both locations and choreographing for the Company Dancers.
Vette Wilde Instructor Vette started ballet when she was four years old. She switched over to gymnastics when she was eleven and became a serious competitor a few years later. She competed on a Division II University Women's Gymnastics Team all four years in college and also auditioned for and made it into all three dances of her choice every year at the University's Annual Dance Production Workshop Performance. During her senior year, Vette was asked to choreograph the University's very first acro/lyrical number for DPW, which began her love of choreography. Since graduating Universtiy, Vette has gone on to earn her Graduate Degree and has been a special education teacher for 17 years. She has been coaching gymnasts since she was 17 years old and choreographs floor and beam routines for local competitive gymnasts. Vette is enjoying working with Dance Expression students and sharing her love for acro and tumble while incorporating it into the art of dance. Vette will also be offering a special education dance class this year. She has become a wonderful member of the DE family!
Jeri Kansas Instructor Jeri Kansas began dancing professionally at nineteen joining the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Jeri's first original Broadway show was SugarBabies with Ann Miller and Mickey Rooney. Then Gower Champion cast her as Phyllis in David Merrick's hit Broadway show 42nd Street. Other regional shows include Showboat, Anytime Annie in 42nd Street, Mona Lipschitz in Chicago and Eulalie Shinn in The Music Man. She has worked with NYC choreographers Alan Johnson, Ernest Flatt,Tommy Tune, Peter Gennaro and Gower Champion. This past summer she choreographed Brigadoon at Musicals at Richter in Danbury, Ct. Jeri will be teaching Tap a Stretch and Condition class our Dutchess studio and will be holding occasional Broadway Dance workshops as well as privates at both locations. We are excited to have her on staff again this season!
Michael Buoni Instructor Joining us from New York City and currently a resident choreography for the Jersey City Ballet, Michael has been classically trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Lyrical. He has danced with such companies as Ohio Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater, Dayton Ballet as well as a modern company, Michael Mao Dance. He is Russian trained in his approach and focuses on proper body alignment. His love for the art of dance extends to all and we are happy to have him on staff at Dance Expression.
Owen Hill Jr. Instructor Inspired by the music videos of artists like Usher and the late, and great Michael Jackson, Owen began dancing at the age of 11. After winning a school talent show at the age of 13, he really knew that performing was for him. Owen was self taught, but in hopes of taking his talent to the next level he began taking classes in New York City. After a couple years of hard training he began auditioning and soon found himself dancing along side the very person he grew up watching, Usher. He also was featured on many major television networks such as MTV, VH1, BET, NBC and FUSE, has done tours, movies and commercials. He shares his passion of teaching hip hop around the world, from Paris, France to the Philippines, and now right here at Dance Expression!
Nico Rodriguez Instructor "Nick" has trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, Rock the Industry and Monsters of Hip Hop. He has been a backup dancer for many artists including Sharay J/Missy Elliot “Smash Up the Place.” Nico has done a commercial with Wendy Williams “Feel It” and worked with top choreographers like Tricia Miranda, Luam and Jermaine Brown. His Street Jazz/Hip-hop style and choreography is a favorite among Dance Expression students. We are happy to have him on staff and subbing Hip-Hop and Jazz Classes in both Westchester and Dutchess!

She was an instructor in Binghamton's Evolution Dance Company and participated in the University's Kickline team. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and joined Dance Expression when she was 13. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, has trained as a tap and jazz instructor at the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), and studied ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). As a performer, Oren has traveled the US, Mexico, Colombia and other countries while performing with The Aluminum Show, and at many regional theaters all over the country in musicals like 42nd Street, Mary Poppins, Cats, Oklahoma!, Singin' in the Rain, A Chorus Line and many more. On television she appeared in a recurring U/5 role on All My Children from 2006-2009 as a 'Fusion' office intern and a Papa John’s commercial. Lauren danced for the NBA's 76ers and the NETS dance teams. She danced alongside DE Director, Christine on the 2004-2005 Nets Season! She competed on a Division II University Women's Gymnastics Team all four years in college and also auditioned for and made it into all three dances of her choice every year at the University's Annual Dance Production Workshop Performance. During her senior year, Vette was asked to choreograph the University's very first acro/lyrical number for DPW, which began her love of choreography. Since graduating Universtiy, Vette has gone on to earn her Graduate Degree and has been a special education teacher for 17 years. She has been coaching gymnasts since she was 17 years old and choreographs floor and beam routines for local competitive gymnasts. Vette is enjoying working with Dance Expression students and sharing her love for acro and tumble while incorporating it into the art of dance. Vette will also be offering a special education dance class this year. She has become a wonderful member of the DE family!
Jeri Kansas Instructor Jeri Kansas began dancing professionally at nineteen joining the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Jeri's first original Broadway show was SugarBabies with Ann Miller and Mickey Rooney. Then Gower Champion cast her as Phyllis in David Merrick's hit Broadway show 42nd Street. Other regional shows include Showboat, Anytime Annie in 42nd Street, Mona Lipschitz in Chicago and Eulalie Shinn in The Music Man. She has worked with NYC choreographers Alan Johnson, Ernest Flatt,Tommy Tune, Peter Gennaro and Gower Champion. This past summer she choreographed Brigadoon at Musicals at Richter in Danbury, Ct. Jeri will be teaching Tap a Stretch and Condition class our Dutchess studio and will be holding occasional Broadway Dance workshops as well as privates at both locations. We are excited to have her on staff again this season!
Michael Buoni Instructor Joining us from New York City and currently a resident choreography for the Jersey City Ballet, Michael has been classically trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Lyrical. He has danced with such companies as Ohio Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater, Dayton Ballet as well as a modern company, Michael Mao Dance. He is Russian trained in his approach and focuses on proper body alignment. His love for the art of dance extends to all and we are happy to have him on staff at Dance Expression.
Owen Hill Jr. Instructor Inspired by the music videos of artists like Usher and the late, and great Michael Jackson, Owen began dancing at the age of 11. After winning a school talent show at the age of 13, he really knew that performing was for him. Owen was self taught, but in hopes of taking his talent to the next level he began taking classes in New York City. After a couple years of hard training he began auditioning and soon found himself dancing along side the very person he grew up watching, Usher. He also was featured on many major television networks such as MTV, VH1, BET, NBC and FUSE, has done tours, movies and commercials. He shares his passion of teaching hip hop around the world, from Paris, France to the Philippines, and now right here at Dance Expression!
Nico Rodriguez Instructor "Nick" has trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, Rock the Industry and Monsters of Hip Hop. He has been a backup dancer for many artists including Sharay J/Missy Elliot “Smash Up the Place.” Nico has done a commercial with Wendy Williams “Feel It” and worked with top choreographers like Tricia Miranda, Luam and Jermaine Brown. His Street Jazz/Hip-hop style and choreography is a favorite among Dance Expression students. We are happy to have him on staff and subbing Hip-Hop and Jazz Classes in both Westchester and Dutchess!
Julie Shelley Instructor Julie graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She was an instructor in Binghamton's Evolution Dance Company and participated in the University's Kickline team. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and joined Dance Expression when she was 13. We are happy to have Julie now as an instructor at Dance Expression.
Oren Korenblum Instructor Oren is a performer, choreographer, dance instructor, and founder/director of O.K. DANCE Company in NYC. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, has trained as a tap and jazz instructor at the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), and studied ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). As a performer, Oren has traveled the US, Mexico, Colombia and other countries while performing with The Aluminum Show, and at many regional theaters all over the country in musicals like 42nd Street, Mary Poppins, Cats, Oklahoma!, Singin' in the Rain, A Chorus Line and many more. Oren has choreographed for NBC (Red Nose Day), Town Hall NYC, Allenberry Playhouse, dance competitions and more. Lauren Cozza Instructor Lauren's countless theater credits including Sweet Charity, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Wonderful Life, Copacabana, Evita, and West Side Story. She was a choreographer/dancer for pop singer Dana Rayne. Lauren also performed at Radio City Music Hall, with Neil Young on his Greendale tour. On television she appeared in a recurring U/5 role on All My Children from 2006-2009 as a 'Fusion' office intern and a Papa John’s commercial. Lauren danced for the NBA's 76ers and the NETS dance teams. She danced alongside DE Director, Christine on the 2004-2005 Nets Season! She is also a regular staff member for Step Up 2 Dance national dance tour.
Christine Ferreira Director Christine graduated in 2003 from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Psychology. She danced four years with the Quinnipiac Dance Company and became President of the Company in 2002. She is experienced in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip-Hop. She has taken classes in Manhattan at The Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. She has danced at Hammerstein Ballroom and has been in several Off-Broadway Musicals. Christine has been a dancer for the AFL’s New York Dragons at Nassau Coliseum and appeared on NBC. She was invited on ESPN’s “Cold Pizza” as a celebrity guest. She also was a dancer for the USBL’s Westchester Wildfire performing at the Westchester County Center. She danced for the New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena during the 2004-2005 season and performed on “The WB Morning Show.” Christine has performed all over Westchester and has danced for several Entertainment Companies and in a Music Video. She has taken master class and teacher training from Finis Jhung, David Howard, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Sheila Barker and Frank Hatchett. She began choreographing in college for the Quinnipiac Dance Company and discovered she loved teaching as well as performing. She works well with children as well as adults and enjoys helping them toward their individual dance goals. Christine teaches at both locations and directs and choreographs for the Company Dancers.
Jessica Grafer Director Jessica majored in dance at The University of Hartford with “The Hartt School of Dance.” She has studied dance since the age of four and is experienced in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip-Hop. She has taken classes all over Westchester and at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. She performed in an off-Broadway musical and has danced for several Entertainment Companies. In 2004 she danced for the USBL’s Westchester Wildfire. Jessica taught a dance program for young children with Cortlandt Recreation in the fall of 2004. She danced in the 2005 - 2006 Season as a NY Knicks City Dancer. She was recently a featured dancer in Danny Aiello's Music Videos, "Dance With Me" and "City of Lights". Jessica has taken Master class and teacher training from Mia Michaels, Many Moore, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Laurie-Ann Gibson, Dan Karaty, Shane Sparks, Luam and Chio. She has a love for choreographing and teaching dance and would like to pass on her knowledge and passion to young dancers. She loves sharing her passion for dance teaching at both locations and choreographing for the Company Dancers.
